Always arrive in Padang the night before. The 7:00 AM departures leave early — there is no way to arrive, sleep, and board the same morning. Build buffer days at both ends of your trip. Ferries cancel due to weather with little notice. Monitor @mentawaifast on Instagram for real-time updates.
Return journey: The ferry returns to Padang at 15:00 on the same operating days. Sleep in Padang that night and fly home the next morning. Ticket price is approximately 400,000 IDR (~$25 USD) one-way.
No surfboards on Susi Air. The aircraft are small and oversized items are not permitted. If you're travelling with boards, use Route 01 (the ferry) or send your boards separately on the Mentawai Fast while you fly — ask us about coordinating this when you book.
